Allianz Life Syariah insurance business recorded total Gross Premium Income (Gross Written / GWP) amounting to Rp569, 2 billion by the end of 2012, or grew 38 percent compared with the same period in 2011 is Rp411, 8 billion.
Shariah and Corporate Communication Officer of Allianz Indonesia Kiswati Soeryoko said the growth is due to the growth contribution of marketing channels bancassurrance which increased to 224 percent of Rp14, 5 billion in 2011 to Rp47 billion in 2012.
"The agency marketing channels are still the largest contributor to the total GWP grew by 26 percent from Rp396, 6 billion at the end of 2011 to Rp506, 1 billion at the end of 2012," said Kiswati in Exposure Performance Allianz Life Sharia in 2012 in Penang Bistro, Kebun betel, Jakarta, Tuesday (05/07/2013).
Kiswati added, for a total insurance assets Allianz Life Sharia in the end of 2012 increased 44 percent from Rp149, 9 billion in 2011.
"And in 2012, total assets amounted insurer Allianz Life Sharia Rp216, 2 billion," he explained.
He explained that, during 2012 Allianz Life Sharia has paid claims to its customers amounted to Rp47, 5 billion in 2012. "This is up from 2011, which amounted to Rp35 billion," he concluded.
